The heart and vision behind The Three Collective Co.

DJ has always had a love of all things creative and community. With an entrepreneurial spark and a heart for connection, she’s the ultimate go-getter a “will-do” kind of powerhouse who brings ideas to life.

Her career began at just 17 with The Hilton Group in the UK, where a strong foundation in hospitality set her on the right path for everything that followed. After moving to Australia in 1997, DJ spent three years with Brisbane’s B105fm Radio Station before relocating to Sydney in 2000, where she stepped into the world of publishing as the Online Editor for Vogue Australia. She later joined Next Media Publishing in 2007 following the birth of her first son, Harry.

These days, DJ works remotely between her motherland, the UK, and Noosa, Queensland (Australia), offering dedicated Virtual Assistant support while continuing to channel her passion into meaningful community projects and purpose-driven business ventures.

With a strong background in events, operations and community engagement, DJ brings a proactive, organised and collaborative approach to her work as a VA. Between 2021 and 2023, she spent two seasons with the Noosa Pirates RLFC, playing a key role in elevating their events and fundraising initiatives while supporting the day-to-day operations of this much-loved local club.

Most recently, DJ held the role of Community & Partnerships Coordinator, alongside managing the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice Noosaville Charity Op Shop & Warehouse. Deeply passionate about supporting this incredible organisation, she helped drive fundraising efforts while reimagining the community retail experience. Leading a dedicated volunteer team, DJ successfully oversaw the relocation of both the charity shop and warehouse, creating a more engaging, efficient, and community-focused space [IG Reel 1 pack-up] [IG Reel 2 New space] and transforming it into a high-end, multi-use space that became a vibrant hub for connection.

With the support of her amazing team of volunteers, DJ curated engaging, purpose-driven events, from maker workshops to fashion and beauty experiences which brought people together and elevated the local community spirit.

Known for her creative vision, supplier negotiation skills and talent for delivering meaningful, sell-out events, DJ has built a reputation for transforming spaces into thriving community hubs -a skillset she now channels into her work as a Virtual Assistant and through her venture, The Three Collective Co.

DJ thrives in high-energy, fast-paced environments, where juggling multiple projects comes naturally. With a background in building and growing businesses, she has founded and successfully nurtured several start-up ventures, later selling them to pursue her passion for connection, creativity and community.

Today, DJ dedicates her time to supporting her VA clients while continuing to create meaningful experiences through event management, community collaborations and fundraising initiatives.

One of the loveliest compliments she’s received came from a recent fashion show client: “If DJ’s behind it, it’s going to be a success.” — Maria, JoJo Noosa. It’s a sentiment that has quickly become a common thread among those who work with her.

It’s this spirit, grounded in passion, purpose and connection – that defines DJ and sits at the heart of The Three Collective Co.
